Key Stage 3
Students starting in year 7 focus on developing key skills and mathematical understanding that will prepare them for both their GCSEs and real-world application of maths. A number of students will study and complete the GCSE certificate in maths during year 9, using the AQA examining board. Students also start to explore the world of probability and statistics in preparation for the Statistics GCSE.
Key Stage 4
Students in years 10 and 11 delve further into the world of Mathematics with a variety of courses, including GCSE Mathematics, GCSE Statistics and GCSE Additional Mathematics. Statistics and AdMaths provide students with additional qualifications
The Mathematics Department use the AQA exam board for GCSE Mathematics, EDEXCEL exam board for GCSE Statistics and, for the more able students and those aiming for A Level maths, we also offer GCSE Additional Maths using the OCR Exam Board.
