Child Mental Health Week – Well-being Wednesday 3rd February 2021
As next week is Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 and in recognition of the challenges that all our students and families have been facing since the start of this term, next Wednesday we will be off-screen all day and instead, enjoying a range of activities and challenges in our ‘Wellbeing Wednesday.’
We are aware that at this difficult time, we all need to make sure we are doing all that we can to look after and boost our positive mental wellbeing. With this in mind, we have devised a Wellbeing Wednesday programme with all the activities we think will really help with promoting positivity of mind and body. Have a good look through them and choose one or more to take part in during our wellbeing Wednesday; and all you have to do is ‘TAKE PART’.
We all know that sport and any physical exercise is excellent for relieving stress and promoting positivity, however research has also shown that creative activities also combat feelings of anxiety, stress or feeling low. It is, however completely up to individuals, but doing any of the activities on the poster will help enormously. It would be even better to build these types of activities into our weekly routines, especially now as the evenings are becoming lighter!
We hope you will have lots of fun taking part in our’ Wellbeing Wednesday ‘and all we would ask is for students to send through some pictures for us; we would love to see what you do on the day and look forward to seeing them. Please send them to email@example.com; our edition at the end of this half term will be a special well-being edition.
Wishing you a very mentally positive Wednesday (and every day)
Miss Smith and Miss Jelley.
